
The public is invited to attend the first Town Hall meeting today to discuss redistricting at LCPS.
The first town hall meeting will be hosted in the Commons area at Organ Mountain High School (5700 Mesa Grande Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88011) today, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will cover proposed zone options for elementary, middle and high school and will provide an opportunity for feedback on zone preferences.
*The second town hall will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 in the Mayfield High School cafeteria (1955 N Valley Dr #5154, Las Cruces, NM 88007.)

On Friday, LCPS hosted the Energy Expo and Career Symposium at NMSU. It was a day of thriving activity as over 3,000 students learned about opportunities in the drone and energy industry, including careers in agriculture, economics, solar, wind & more!

Congratulations to Justin Madrid, our LCPS student athlete of the week from Mayfield High School. Justin is in football and track. In rushing, he has 30 carries for 330 yards, 5 touchdowns, received 5 catches for 40 yards. He has 61 total tackles and 2 sacks.
Coach Bradley says the Trojan football team relies on Justin not only to be the best for his team, but also to display mental toughness when adversity surrounds him.


Shout out to Sadee Lueras, our LCPS student athlete of the week from Mayfield High School. Sadee is captain of the volleyball team for the Trojans. She leads the district with 55 serving aces, 348 assists this season, and she is currently second in the class 5A for serving aces.
Coach Kayser says Sadee exemplifies what it means to be a leader on and off the court.


If you love BBQ, you won’t want to miss the Grill and Thrill BBQ Competition happening at the Field of Dreams Baseball Complex at 4pm.
The event brings together all of our high schools for a team competition to see who can take home bragging rights for the best BBQ!
The event is free to the public, so come out and bring your family and friends to sample some of the most flavorful BBQ in the Southwest! We’ll see you there!

Thank you to the LCPS Bilingual Community Outreach team for decorating an ofrenda for Día de Los Muertos. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects in remembrance of friends and family members who have passed on.
